Clinical Massage Therapy

CLINICAL MASSAGE PRACTITIONER

Massage therapy is my passion, with a servants heart I Love helping people and massage is an opportunity to do so. My goal is to access your body as a whole and help you to understand what your body is doing.

In 1983, I entered the field of massage therapy, obtaining my certification in clinical massage therapy in 1992. Since that time, a major focus of my work is with patients referred to me by neurologists, chiropractors, surgeons and other medical professionals.

Clients have described my massage as relaxing yet specific with intuitiveness and that they can feel that I truly care about what I’m doing. Others have said, you can tell when a therapist is good and knowledgeable by the way they are focusing on the muscle instead of just gliding over them. An experienced massage therapist can feel the problem areas.

Injuries occur when the body is out of balance.

The muscular system moves the body. It consist of over 640 skeletal muscles that are attached to bones of the skeleton across their joints. Skeletal muscles make up 40 percent of the body’s weight and, with the bones and skin, give the body it’s shape. The body is amazing. Think of the eye closing so quickly when something comes toward it. Football players when your ready for a hard impact compared to being in an auto accident and bracing yourself out of fear.

Trained and experienced Massage Therapists are the only people in the medical field that touch almost your entire body.

It has taken Massage Therapists years to prove ourselves and become recognized in the medical field as a valuable source. Research and Proven results have brought a realization to what we can do to help your body and mind with a variety of techniques studied in Body Work. Helping you understand what your body is doing that could cause injury in the future or what may be causing your pain or discomfort in the present and to bring your body into balance and bring an awareness of repeated patterns and habits. We are great at calming your nervous system which can help the body connect and change it’s self. Amazing what can happen when the nervous system slows down, like taking a wonderful relaxed vacation in one hour. I hope that someday there will be Specialized Muscle Doctors that focus only on the muscular system.

I’m here for you in your hour to hopefully bring you peace, balance, relaxation, and acknowledgment of your body.
